Description

Office 365, SharePoint, and OneDrive make it easy to create, store, and collaborate on projects whether on your, own or with colleagues. However, it can be a difficult task to keep track of everything you’re working on. In this course, SharePoint at Work: Using Delve with SharePoint, you will learn how Delve can help you find and retrieve your most recent content, as well as the content of your colleagues. Delve can also help you connect to, and learn more about, your co-workers. First, you will learn about the Office Graph and how Delve uses it to connect you to content and colleagues. Then, you will see how content is added to Delve and the various ways it surfaces relevant content for you. Next, you learn how to organize content in Delve by creating and using Boards and Favorites. Finally, you will discover how to protect certain documents from being surfaced in Delve to those who shouldn’t have access to them, by managing privacy settings of libraries, folders, and documents. When you’re finished with this course, you will understand how Delve works, and how it can help you to find, retrieve, and organize all of your content throughout your Office 365 SharePoint, and OneDrive, and how to share content with colleagues, and keep sensitive content private.

Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Bill Kulterman, and welcome to my course, SharePoint at Work: Using Delve with SharePoint. I'm an independent e-courseware author, and I have been working with and teaching SharePoint for the last seven years. Delve is a great way to find content quickly. It can help you learn about your colleagues and show you content when you're away from the office using the Delve mobile app. In this course, we are going to see how Delve works and how it can help keep track of content in SharePoint and OneDrive. Some of the major topics that we will cover include learning about the office graph and how Delve uses it to surface content and people, how Delve can help you to organize content using boards and favorites, learning how to protect certain documents from being surfaced in Delve, how to share documents in Delve, and how to use the Delve mobile app. By the end of this course, you will understand how Delve works and how it can help you to find and organize content and how to connect with coworkers. Before beginning the course, you should be familiar with Office 365, SharePoint, and OneDrive. I hope you join me on this journey to learn Delve with my course, SharePoint at Work: Using Delve with SharePoint, at Pluralsight.

Getting Familiar with Delve
Hi everybody, welcome to Pluralsight. My name is Bill, and this course is SharePoint at Work: Using Delve with SharePoint. This first module is getting familiar with Delve. In the first module, we're going to start by talking about how Delve works. We'll talk about the Office Graph, and we'll explore the reasons why you would want to use Delve. Next, we're going to look at the Delve home page and the type of content that is surfaced there. Then we'll explore the Delve Me tab, where you see your content. And lastly, we'll take a look at Delve content cards and the information about the content that is stored there. Sounds like a lot of fun because it is, so why don't we go ahead, and let's get started.

Organizing Delve Content
Hi, welcome to Pluralsight. My name's Bill, and this module is Organizing Delve Content. In this module, I'm going to show you how to organize content by using boards. We'll show you how to create a new board, and if you don't know what a board is, make sure you stay around for this module. Boards are going to help you find and locate content easily and quickly. Next, I'll show you how to organize content using favorites. Favorites are easy to use. We'll show you the Favorites tab and how to add favorites to it. And lastly, we will show you how to hide SharePoint documents from Delve. It involves creating a column and reindexing the library, which sounds a little bit harder than it is. Don't worry; I'm going to get you through it. We've got a lot of good things in store. Let's go ahead and let's get started.

Managing Delve Content
Hi, welcome to Pluralsight. My name's Bill, and this module is Managing Delve Content. We're going to start this module by talking about privacy settings. I'll show you where you can find the privacy settings in Delve for all of your content, for each individual document. Then we're going to show you how to change those permissions. We'll show you how to do that to documents from OneDrive and documents in SharePoint so that you can make sure that the right people have access to the documents. Next, I'm going to show you how to stop sharing documents in Delve, essentially shutting Delve off. We'll look at the feature settings, and we're also going to talk about simply moving documents to someplace that's not shared so that you can stop sharing those documents in Delve. And lastly, I'm going to show you how to share Delve content. We'll take a look at sharing links and sharing boards with your coworkers. We've got some fun stuff coming, so let's go ahead and let's get started.

Working with Colleagues in Delve
Hi, welcome to Pluralsight. My name's Bill, and this module is Working with Colleagues in Delve. Delve is a great way to learn about your colleagues, and in this module, we're going to start out by showing you how to look for them and how to find out what they're working on in Delve. Then we're going to look for subject matter experts with Delve. You work with lots of people, probably, and most likely some of them are going to have skills that you may need at some point. We're going to show you how to search for those skills and how to explore people's profiles. It's going to be fun, so why don't we go ahead and let's get started.
