Configuring ARM Templates for Multi-VM Deployment Hello there, and welcome to Pluralsight. My name is Tim Warner, and this is entitled Configuring ARM Templates for Multi-VM Deployment. I have three learning objectives for us today. We're going to begin by using something called Azure Policy to put guardrails on our Azure environment. For instance, you may have need to ensure that VMs are deployed only from particular regions or you can only deploy particular VM sizes. Then we'll spend time in Visual Studio creating an Azure Resource Manager template. We'll validate that template and then ultimately deploy it. Now, the template is going to define a multi-VM deployment, but the good news here is that once you have your sea legs, once you understand the basics of ARM templates, you can deploy anything in Azure using them. It's a very important skill to have, and I'm happy to teach it to you, so let's proceed.
Deploying Azure Virtual Machine Scale Sets Hello there, and welcome to Pluralsight. My name is Tim Warner This module is entitled Deploying Azure VM Scale Sets. The Azure virtual machine scale set is referred to in the Azure literature as VMSS. Accordingly, we'll being this module by identifying VMSS target scenarios. You'll then learn how to deploy and manage scale sets, including autoscaling rules, one of the scale set's biggest advantages. We'll finish up with a new feature, at least as of this recording and late summer 2018, in which you can deploy low-priority VMs as virtual machine scale set nodes. Let's get started.
