Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Brandon Carroll, and welcome to my course, ISE BYOD for CCNP Security (300-208) SISAS. I'm a long-time Cisco instructor and CCIE at globalconfig. net. It's true. BYOD is a thing, and it's not even a new thing. For some time now, people have wanted to bring their device to work with them be it a laptop, a tablet, or a smartphone. These network devices need access to an IP network, and we need a way to onboard them and secure their activity in our environment. This course will teach you how to do that using Cisco ISE, a network policy server offered by Cisco. In this course, we're going to learn about two types of deployments, a single SSID and dual SSID deployment, and we'll discuss why you would choose between the two, and then show you how to deploy both of these designs. Some of the major topics that we will cover include native supplicant provisioning, authorization profile configuration, authorization policy configuration, and client testing. By the end of this course, you'll know how to implement and verify a BYOD solution. Before beginning the course, you should be familiar with the basics of Cisco ISE as covered in the Introduction to Cisco ISE for CCNP Security 300-208 SISAS course. Dual SSID BYOD Design
Well hi there everyone, and welcome to Dual SSID BYOD Design. Let's go ahead and jump right into an overview of what we're going to talk about. Pretty straightforward. We're going to do a lot of labs in this section just like we did in the last module there. We're going to, first off, just review the topology, and then I'll give you the high level of how this dual SSID is going to go as we, not only configure it, but as we actually try to connect from an end-user's perspective. And then we'll just jump right into it. We'll go into ISE, and we'll do our dual SSID BYOD configuration. We'll kind of talk through what we're doing as we go through the different graphical interface configuration elements in ISE. And then we'll test it, and we're going to test this using a Mac, and we'll also jump over to a Windows machine, and that way you can get a little bit of a variety and see how these things are going to work.
